Curried chickpea pitas

2 SERVINGS

MATERIAL

non-stick pan

1 can chickpeas
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp onion powder
2 tomatoes in slices
1/2 cucumber chopped
lettuce
1 cup grated carrots
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp curry powder
olive oil
cilantro to taste
4 whole weat pitabreads

Put chickpeas in a bowl with a tablespoon of water. Add turmeric, cumin, garlic and curry powder. Mix well with a spoon.

Heat oil over medium heat in a pan and add chickpea mixture. Stir well until chickpeas start to look crispy, and remove set aside.
Cut pitas open and warm up in a toaster for a few mins. Fill with lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, carrots and the chickpeas.
Add some cilantro or parsley and take a big bite!

TIP

Add some sesame seeds if you like.
